Fun at the Beach!

Owen, Ryan, and I went to the beach for 4 nights with Mimi, Popi, and Uncle David! We had a very good time. Owen did great in the car, we only had to stop 2 times! Owen also seemed to enjoyed his naps on the beach! Ryan and I even got out for a date night and Mimi and Popi were gld to keep Owen! Such a nice trip!

It has been too long since I have posted a blog! So, I will try to play catch up. We hope everyone had a very Happy Mother's day! We went on our first out of town trip to Kingsport last weekend. We got together with the family and really enjoyed spending time with everyone. Owen seemed to enjoy it, too! We discovered how much Owen loves the water when Mimi gave him a bath in the sink! :) Now, we spend lots of time in his little bath tub! Mimi's friend also came over and took some great pictures! We love the one of Owen and Jackson having naptime. We also found that Owen can sit in his Bumbo chair. He is still a bit small for it, but we think it is cute! Owen has also been smiling alot. I will try to catch his sweet smile in a photo soon!

Owen is one month old today, we cannot believe it! We have had a good week, Owen is becoming more alert and really noticing things around him. He really loves being outside, and is always looking out the window when we are inside! Ryan, Jackson, Owen, and I took a picnic to the park on Tuesday. Jackson got to swim and fetch, Ryan and I got to relax and enjoy family time, and Owen loved listening to the new sounds and looking all around. He is also starting to find his "voice" and is beginning to make new noises and "coo." This video shows a little of him talking. :)

Our week

Owen had another great week and weekend! He had his 3 week checkup and he now weighs 7 lbs 12 oz. We are so proud! He is starting to be more alert and is really noticing things around him. It is fun to watch him grow and learn new things. Owen's Mimi and Popi came to visit this weekend! The big boys worked in the yard all weekend while the girls and Owen shopped! Here are a few pics from the week and weekend.

Tummy time

Today we are taking advantage of the rain and enjoying all being home and resting! Yesterday, we took Owen downtown for the Dogwood Arts festival. We had lunch outside and then shopped around. It was great to get out as a family! Yesterday afternoon after a good nap, we placed Owen on his tummy, he loves it! Click on play to watch the video.

We have had a great week so far. Owen went to the pediatrician on Monday and has regained his birth weight plus a few ounces! He weighed in at 6 lbs 15 ounces. Those middle of the night feedings are suddenly more worth it! On Tuesday, Jen's friend Kristin visited, and it was such a nice, relaxing day. Wednesday, 2 of Owen's great-grandmothers and his great great aunt came to take us to lunch!

Happy Easter everyone! We had a fun day, Owen's grandparents (Ryan's mom and stepdad) and Uncle Kris came by to bring us Easter dinner! Owen's grandmother, Mimi (Jen's mom) got Owen some cute bunny ears and an Easter bunny for Owen to wear!

We got to bring Owen home from the hospital on Saturday, April 4th. It was a beautiful day, and we were so thrilled to come home! Jackson got to greet his new brother and was very interested in him!

Owen Patrick McNally was born on April 2, 2009 at 12:14. He came in at a whopping 6 pounds, 12 ounces. Baby, Mother and Daddy are doing great. Enjoy the pictures. We will keep you updated.

We have created this blog as a way to keep friends and family updated on Owen Patrick! He is due on April 6th, 2009 and we are anxiously awaiting his arrival.
